“I’ve been taking classes with Dossy for a few months now and I notice a lot of improvement. My mom and other people around me have also noticed that my acting skills have definitely gone up ... Overall I think her teachings have helped me with many problems not just in acting, but also with outside life. Her classes have helped open up my personality and have made me a more positive and confident person.”

“I think of Dossy as a great liberator! She liberates the soul and spirit. She gets me to remember what I love, what I stand for, what is me, and helps me find ways to express that ... ”

Young actors (12+) are welcome to study with me if they have some experience and the commitment to do the work, both in session and at home.

The young actor needs an age appropriate monologue from a published play which we will prepare for an audition or to practice acting skills.

If she/he is preparing a role for stage, or film, we collaborate on the discovery and development of her/his character within the context of the story.

Focus is also given to vocal expression and body language. We explore the relationships, the needs and the struggles of the character.

If he/she wants to work on a song, I will help the actor to delve into the lyrics, story, character and context of the song to make it a more specific and energized performance.
